ART & COPY screening at ACME in Lambertville
Monday November 23, 2009
07:00PM
This month, Hunterdon and Bucks County residents don’t have to travel far to see an excellent independent film now playing in cities like New York and Philadelphia. They can come to the ACME Screening Room in Lambertville, NJ. On November 23, 2009, ACME’s line up will feature a screening of ART & COPY with Q & A to follow with the film’s Executive Producer, Mary Warlick. ART & COPY is a powerful new documentary film about advertising and inspiration. Directed by Doug Pray (SURFWISE, SCRATCH, HYPE!), it features some of the most influential advertising creatives of our time. Light refreshments willbe provided after the event in the ACME lobby, generously sponsored by personal chef Chris Georgett (http://mychefsite.com/cdgeorgett), and The Çhocolate Box. Larry Trink, VP/Creative Lead, Advisor Studio, Merrill Lynch, will moderate the discussion with Mary Warlick. This production is co-presented by the RIver Communications Group.
Mary Warlick is Executive Producer of Art & Copy and C.E.O. of The One Club (www.oneclub.org), the world’s foremost non-profit organization for the recognition and promotion of excellence in advertising. She annually produces the One Show, the premier and most respected advertising awards program in the world and created One Show Interactive, One Show Design, One Show Entertainment and the One Show College Competition and Students Awards, the Annual Student Exhibition, and One Show Speaker Series. Warlick served as co-curator of the exhibition, “The Real Men and Women of Madison Avenue and Their Impact on American Culture.” Ms. Warlick is an alumnus of Columbia University.
The ART & COPY film screening is at 7 pm on November 23, 2009, followed by Meet-the-Executive Producer, Mary Warlick at 8:30 pm. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Tickets entitle guests to film and discussion and refreshments after the program. Advanced tickets can be purchased online (convenience fee applies) at https://friends-of-lambertville-library.ticketleap.com
Audience members can also purchase a $40 Dinner & A Movie ticket and get one sumptuous 3-course prix fixe dinner at Hamilton’s Grill Room before 6:30 pm and a single admission to the movie that night. Dinner & A Movie tickets can be purchased online at https://friends-of-lambertville-library.ticketleap.com/
(*$2.57 per ticket convenience fee applies).
Thirty three percent of the proceeds of each Dinner & A Movie ticket sold will be donated to the Friends’ ACME Screening Room film program. Please see ticket for full rules and restrictions.
The ACME Screening Room is a project of Friends of Lambertville Library and has presented a weekly film series since April 2008.
